I’m on my way back to Colorado Springs after 17 days in Washington State; and in all fairness, it only rained about half of those 17 days, so by local standards it would be fair to say the whether was “unseasonally pleasant”, although we did have snow several times.<\/p>\n

The purpose of my trip was to connect with Covenant churches that support us, and share reports of the work in Japan. My chuch visits took me to Seattle First Cov, Everett First Cov, Bremerton, Kent, Mercer Island, Covenant Shores, Martha Lake and Quest; with multiple visits to several of those. In every case I was encouraged by the sincerety and high interest levels of the people I met. \u00a0We are very fortunate indeed, to have such a strong support base as the ECC.<\/p>\n

Washington is also a place of family roots for me. Both of my parents are from Everett, I went to college at the UW and Hydi at SPU, after school we lived in the Seattle area for 4 more years, during which time I worked for a Japanese import\/export company.<\/p>\n

So whenever I had a bit of free time I went out and explored\/revisited. I saw my father’s childhood home, I visited two cousins whom I hadn’t seen for decades and I dropped in at the office where I used to work over 20 years ago and was pleased to find that my former boss is now in charge of the whole company. I also visited parks in Everett and Seattle, enjoying the pacific northwest scenery. The ferry ride on my way to Bremerton was another highlight in terms of scenery.
