The road into town had many mnay women with similar loads.<\/p><\/div>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>One of the sights I most enjoyed was travelling to and exploring the Old Cathedral and Emperor&#8217;s\u00a0Palace which overlooks the city.\u00a0 The museum had many interesting items and gave glimpses into the rich heritage of this beautiful country.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/76\/2011\/04\/Old-Orthodox-cathedral-comp.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-344\" src=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/76\/2011\/04\/Old-Orthodox-cathedral-comp.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"448\" height=\"336\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/76\/2011\/04\/Emperors-palace-from-early-1900s-comp.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-345\" src=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/76\/2011\/04\/Emperors-palace-from-early-1900s-comp.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"448\" height=\"336\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Food is one thing I love &#8211; and Ethiopian food is excellent.\u00a0 I love the spice and flavors that combine together.<\/p>\n<div id=\"attachment_346\" style=\"width: 458px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><a href=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/76\/2011\/04\/Traditional-food-comp.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-346\" class=\"size-full wp-image-346\" src=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/76\/2011\/04\/Traditional-food-comp.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"448\" height=\"336\" \/><\/a><p id=\"caption-attachment-346\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Traditional Ethiopian food which was a treat for the eyes, nose and stomach!<\/p><\/div>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>There are some unusual sights too &#8230;..they brought a smile to my face.<\/p>\n<div id=\"attachment_347\" style=\"width: 458px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><a href=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/76\/2011\/04\/cafe-in-AA-comp.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-347\" class=\"size-full wp-image-347\" src=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/76\/2011\/04\/cafe-in-AA-comp.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"448\" height=\"336\" \/><\/a><p id=\"caption-attachment-347\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Football fans span the continents.<\/p><\/div>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<div id=\"attachment_348\" style=\"width: 458px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><a href=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/76\/2011\/04\/Kaldis-coffee-comp.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-348\" class=\"size-full wp-image-348   \" src=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/76\/2011\/04\/Kaldis-coffee-comp.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"448\" height=\"336\" \/><\/a><p id=\"caption-attachment-348\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Notice the similarity to another coffee house brand? <\/p><\/div>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Ethiopia is just one of those places I would love to explore in more depth!<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-report-this\"><a href=\"http:\/\/blogs.covchurch.org\/jcstoker?moderation_action=report_form&object_type=post&object_id=339&width=250&height=300\" class=\"thickbox\" title=\"Report This Post\">Report This Post<\/a><\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>I spent last week in Ethiopia serving on an accreditation team for a school.\u00a0 I found Ethiopia to be a beautiful country, with a lovely climate (at least in Addis Ababa), and many friendly people.\u00a0 The majority of my time &hellip; <a href=\"http:\/\/blogs.covchurch.org\/jcstoker\/2011\/04\/22\/ethiopian-impressions\/\">Continue reading <span class=\"meta-nav\">&rarr;<\/span><\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":100,"featured_media":0,"comment_status":"open","ping_status":"open","sticky":false,"template":"","format":"standard","meta":{"footnotes":""},"categories":[1],"tags":[],"class_list":["post-339","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","hentry","category-uncategorized"],"yoast_head":"<!-- This site is optimized with the Yoast SEO plugin v27.3 -
