{"id":304,"date":"2011-04-04T17:56:26","date_gmt":"2011-04-04T16:56:26","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/blogs.covchurch.org\/jcstoker\/?p=304"},"modified":"2011-04-04T17:59:22","modified_gmt":"2011-04-04T16:59:22","slug":"a-prayer-chapel-a-place-to-pray","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/blogs.covchurch.org\/jcstoker\/2011\/04\/04\/a-prayer-chapel-a-place-to-pray\/","title":{"rendered":"A Prayer Chapel &#8211; a place to pray"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>When Rain Forest International School moved to its new location one of the things left behind was the prayer chapel on the old location.\u00a0 While looking at our new site plans and finally the buildings one of our graduates who is studying architecture saw that there was not a prayer chapel on the new campus.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<div id=\"attachment_305\" style=\"width: 458px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><a href=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/76\/2011\/04\/The-starting-point-for-the-new-prayer-chapel.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-305\" class=\"size-full wp-image-305\" src=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/76\/2011\/04\/The-starting-point-for-the-new-prayer-chapel.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"448\" height=\"336\" \/><\/a><p id=\"caption-attachment-305\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">The location for the Prayer Chapel when it was only a dream<\/p><\/div>\n<p><!--more-->\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>He began to pray and dream, and involved others in his dreaming and praying.\u00a0 The results is he has designed a prayer chapel for the campus<\/p>\n<div id=\"attachment_306\" style=\"width: 445px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><a href=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/76\/2011\/04\/Prayer-chapel-from-Pavillion.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-306\" class=\"size-full wp-image-306 \" src=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/76\/2011\/04\/Prayer-chapel-from-Pavillion.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"435\" height=\"336\" \/><\/a><p id=\"caption-attachment-306\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Looking from the Pavillion to the Prayer Chapel<\/p><\/div>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<div id=\"attachment_308\" style=\"width: 442px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><a href=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/76\/2011\/04\/Prayer-chapel-interior1.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-308\" class=\"size-full wp-image-308 \" src=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/76\/2011\/04\/Prayer-chapel-interior1.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"432\" height=\"334\" \/><\/a><p id=\"caption-attachment-308\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Prayer Chapel interior design<\/p><\/div>\n<p>\u00a0<!--more--><\/p>\n<p>Not only has\u00a0he designed this chapel but he and others have also dreamed of a garden around that chapel area filled with beautiful flowers.\u00a0 During the middle school retreat this year the students selected and potted plants to put in the area.\u00a0 Benches were given as gift for the area.<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<div id=\"attachment_309\" style=\"width: 458px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><a href=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/76\/2011\/04\/Prayer-chapel-area.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-309\" class=\"size-full wp-image-309 \" src=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/76\/2011\/04\/Prayer-chapel-area.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"448\" height=\"336\" \/><\/a><p id=\"caption-attachment-309\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Middle school students working on the garden<\/p><\/div>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<div id=\"attachment_310\" style=\"width: 458px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><a href=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/76\/2011\/04\/Rock-and-pots-with-translated-languages.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-310\" class=\"size-full wp-image-310 \" src=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/76\/2011\/04\/Rock-and-pots-with-translated-languages.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"448\" height=\"336\" \/><\/a><p id=\"caption-attachment-310\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Garden area work has begun. We are still awaiting construction of the chapel itself.<\/p><\/div>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Alumni, current students and staff, families and other interested people have been giving the money so that this dream can be constructed.\u00a0 The money is almost all in but more can be donated to allow for buying more plants etc.\u00a0 The hope is that construction can occur this summer.\u00a0 Then the dream of one and the prayers of many will be realized in a place to pray.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-report-this\"><a href=\"http:\/\/blogs.covchurch.org\/jcstoker?moderation_action=report_form&object_type=post&object_id=304&width=250&height=300\" class=\"thickbox\" title=\"Report This Post\">Report This Post<\/a><\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>When Rain Forest International School moved to its new location one of the things left behind was the prayer chapel on the old location.\u00a0 While looking at our new site plans and finally the buildings one of our graduates who &hellip;
