{"id":204,"date":"2011-02-06T14:17:27","date_gmt":"2011-02-06T13:17:27","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/blogs.covchurch.org\/jcstoker\/?p=204"},"modified":"2011-02-06T14:17:27","modified_gmt":"2011-02-06T13:17:27","slug":"retreat-time","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/blogs.covchurch.org\/jcstoker\/2011\/02\/06\/retreat-time\/","title":{"rendered":"Retreat Time"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>This week is Retreat Time at RFIS.<\/p>\n<p>This is when our students and staff spend some time together getting to know each other and God better.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center\">\n<div id=\"attachment_206\" style=\"width: 195px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><a href=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/76\/2011\/02\/Student-devotions-small.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-206\" class=\"size-full wp-image-206 \" title=\"Student devotions small\" src=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/76\/2011\/02\/Student-devotions-small.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"185\" height=\"138\" \/><\/a><p id=\"caption-attachment-206\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Morning devotions last year at retreat<\/p><\/div>\n<p>\u00a0 The high school students leave the RFIS campus and travel somewhere to experience God in a new location.\u00a0\u00a0 The theme for the\u00a0high school retreat\u00a0involves looking at the extravegent gifts of God.\u00a0 \u00a0The middle school students stay on campus most of the time but have new activities and experiences that aim to help them develop their relationships with God.\u00a0 They will be looking at growing and have a number of activities which involve plants and growing their relationships.<\/p>\n<p>Please pray for safety as students and staff travel both within the city and outside it.<\/p>\n<div id=\"attachment_208\" style=\"width: 305px\" class=\"wp-caption alignleft\"><a href=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/76\/2011\/02\/food-for-retreat-small1.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-208\" class=\"size-full wp-image-208 \" title=\"food for retreat small\" src=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/76\/2011\/02\/food-for-retreat-small1.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"295\" height=\"171\" \/><\/a><p id=\"caption-attachment-208\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">A small portion of the food for one meal at the high school retreat last year.<\/p><\/div>\n<p>\u00a0 Also pray for the logistics to work well.\u00a0 Especially pray for the preperation of meals, enough water and power for all the activities for both groups of students.\u00a0 Pray also for an injury free week.<\/p>\n<p>Thanks for praying<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-report-this\"><a href=\"http:\/\/blogs.covchurch.org\/jcstoker?moderation_action=report_form&object_type=post&object_id=204&width=250&height=300\" class=\"thickbox\" title=\"Report This Post\">Report This Post<\/a><\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>This week is Retreat Time at RFIS.
