held in the Rain Forest!"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>A couple of weeks back I asked you to pray for the retreats that were held in Cameroon for our students and staff.\u00a0 Thanks\u00a0 so much for praying &#8211; both retreats went well.\u00a0 I am excited to share some of what happened.<\/p>\n<p>The high school students and staff went to a new location and found that the hotel staff was very accommodating and the space worked well for them.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/blogs.covchurch.org\/jcstoker\/2018\/02\/15\/retreats-held-rain-forest\/27710211_10213465528489913_2930173862793727878_o\/\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-1968\"><img loading=\"lazy\" 1152px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>In addition they had a number of chances to explore types of learning not covered in the normal classroom.\u00a0 One of these activities was a Survival challenge.\u00a0 The teams had to build a fire and boil water for three minutes,<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/blogs.covchurch.org\/jcstoker\/2018\/02\/15\/retreats-held-rain-forest\/27657192_10213464601306734_5416231735000564584_n\/\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-1961\"><img loading=\"lazy\" 1152px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>They had just over an hour to do this and unfortunately there were no survivors (as in none of them finished all the tasks.)<\/p>\n<p>The Middle School students took a trip to the Mercy Ship in Douala where they renewed their friendships with the students living on that ship who had visited RFIS a few weeks earlier.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/blogs.covchurch.org\/jcstoker\/2018\/02\/15\/retreats-held-rain-forest\/27982977_10156402403337922_8763210489699466526_o\/\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-1972\"><img loading=\"lazy\"
