As December begins, my Advent candles are out and today they will be joined by Christmas decorations as we prepare for Christmas. \u00a0Advent is the time in the church year when we anticipate<\/span> the birth of Christ.<\/p>\n

This year at RFIS we are not just anticipating<\/span> Christmas but another new addition-<\/p>\n

A COVERED SPORTS FACILITY\u00a0<\/span><\/h1>\n

We can call it a gym although it is not anticipated<\/span> to ever be fully enclosed (and no nice wood floors.)<\/p>\n

\"Drainage<\/a>

Drainage from the new building to be collected beside the lower road.<\/p><\/div>\n

Building has begun with drainage and other infrastructure going in during the later part of the summer and fall, but last week the real excavation of the site began and now it looks like something is happening.<\/p>\n

\"Grass<\/a>

Grass coming up<\/p><\/div>\n

This is so important for us here due to months of afternoon rains and also very hot sunny afternoons both of which make playing sports like basketball and volleyball difficult.<\/p>\n

\"Leveling<\/a>

Leveling the ground in preparation for putting in the foundation.<\/p><\/div>\n

 <\/p>\n

We are eager to complete this facility and anticipate<\/span> it being used for many events in addition to its primary use for sports.<\/p>\n
