Protected Status

Through our partnership with World Relief International, we are able to provide these resources for those interested in or seeking Temporary Protected Status (TPS).

World Relief empowers the local Church to serve the most vulnerable both in Haiti and here at home.

Following the devastating earthquake that struck Haiti on January 12, the Department of Homeland Security gave Haitians living in the United States the opportunity to apply for Temporary Protected Status (TPS).

TPS allows Haitians living in the US prior to the earthquake to work in the United States for up to 18 months while the chaos in Haiti improves. It provides Haitians with a helping hand, an opportunity to work and rebuild their lives.

With Haitian cities, towns and villages in ruins, the local Church through World Relief is welcoming the stranger – providing us all an opportunity to help, right here at home.

Throughout the United States, World Relief’s accredited immigration staff provides friendly, professional and affordable legal services to Haitians, many of whom have lost homes, businesses, friends and family.
