class=\"wp-caption-text\">much expense was given to ensure Tan&#8217;s &#8220;next life&#8221;<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_364\" we people of no hope? \u00a0How do we face the grief of losing loved ones and the uncertainties of life here on earth? \u00a0How are our prayers any different than of those around us? \u00a0As we walked with Nat through the sickness and death of her mom (Tan) we were often on our knees in tears, begging God to intervene. \u00a0He brought life to Tan in ways we can&#8217;t see. \u00a0She was a woman with no hope and many fears. \u00a0She truly changed before our eyes in the months she was with us at ALC. \u00a0We saw life come to her, even as death approached her on this earth. \u00a0In the midst of much pain she was thanking God and seeing His goodness to her. \u00a0We saw Nat choose joy in her suffering and never giving up. \u00a0 Yes, we admit our struggle in God&#8217;s choosing not to heal Tan and the relatives blaming Tan&#8217;s turn to Christianity for all the suffering she experienced. \u00a0Our feelings sometimes were not unlike Job&#8217;s in the verse above. \u00a0 Yet, even in our discouragement, God was our strength. \u00a0When we had nothing left to give&#8230;He was the faithful One to us. \u00a0We are reminded once again how temporal life on this earth is. \u00a0Tan has gone before us&#8230;she is no longer suffering and we will see her again!<\/p>\n<p><strong><span style=\"color: #0000ff\">Lord, the Lord Almighty, may those who hope in you not be disgraced because of me; God of Israel, may those who seek you not be put to shame because of me. \u00a0Psalm 69:6<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_369\"
