Dedication"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>We were richly blessed today as all the leaders of the CEUM came over to bless our house.\u00a0 Following the Monday morning chapel service, we invited all those attending to come for a time of blessing.\u00a0<\/p>\n<div id=\"attachment_672\" style=\"width: 194px\" class=\"wp-caption alignright\"><a href=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/12\/2010\/05\/Taiyeye-praying.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-672\" class=\"size-full wp-image-672   \" title=\"Taiyeye praying\" src=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/12\/2010\/05\/Taiyeye-praying.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"184\" height=\"138\" \/><\/a><p id=\"caption-attachment-672\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Pastor Taiyeye praying<\/p><\/div>\n<p>There was singing, <em>What a Friend We Have in Jesus<\/em>, reading of scripture, <em>Ps. 127:1a Unless the Lord builds the house, its builders labor in vain<\/em>, sharing words of reflection and challenge from the local Regional Pastor, and powerful prayers of blessing and protection calling on the Lord to protect the inhabitants of the house from all evil.\u00a0 During the prayer of blessing and protection all the pastors went to different parts of the house and laid their hands on the walls.\u00a0 So special to be cared for like this:\u00a0<\/p>\n<div id=\"attachment_674\" style=\"width: 298px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><a href=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/12\/2010\/05\/blessing-group-shot.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-674\" class=\"size-full wp-image-674\" title=\"blessing- group shot\" src=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/12\/2010\/05\/blessing-group-shot.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"288\" height=\"216\" \/><\/a><p id=\"caption-attachment-674\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Group of Pastors praying over our house<\/p><\/div>\n<p>I was asked to say a few words and I shared how we want to make our home a place of hospitality in a new way than we had in the past.\u00a0 I referred to the way the large mission had existed and functioned prior to 1997, saying that that mission is done as we all know.\u00a0 &#8220;We are not going back to those days.\u00a0 We are entering a new era of partnership, of relationship where we need to be more closely related to each other than before.\u00a0 We need to understand each other better.\u00a0 We need to pray for each other more.\u00a0 To do this we need to live as neighbors to the leaders and have the opportunity for social interaction as well as the work relationships.\u00a0 We want our house to be a place where Congolese feel at home and prayed for.\u00a0 We look forward to living and working with and learning from our Congolese neighbors.&#8221;<\/p>\n<div id=\"attachment_676\" style=\"width: 217px\" class=\"wp-caption alignleft\"><a href=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/12\/2010\/05\/pastors-eating.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-676\" class=\"size-full class=\"wp-caption-text\">Refreshments afterwards<\/p><\/div>\n<p>\u00a0<br \/>\nFollowing the time of blessing and benediction we had some light refreshments for eveyrone.\u00a0<br \/>\n\u00a0<br \/>\nIt was a wonderful time.\u00a0 I felt richly blessed by the powerful prayers and songs and sharing.\u00a0 I really look forward to moving in and hosting my Congolese neighbors.\u00a0 Thanks for
