These guys are good packers:<a href=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/12\/2010\/04\/freight-packed-in-plane1.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-448 aligncenter\" title=\"freight packed in  plane\" src=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/12\/2010\/04\/freight-packed-in-plane1.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"385\" height=\"292\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>After a delay for rain we were off for the 4 hour flight from Yaounde to Bangui.\u00a0 At 7,000 ft he had a 15 knot headwind  so we descended to 5,500 ft and made better time.\u00a0 We arrived in Bangui, fueled the plane  and were off for the 55 min flight to Gemena.\u00a0 This took us over familiar  territory as it is a route we have flown many times.\u00a0 When we lived in  Congo before we used to fly  international to Bangui and then have MAF fly us  from Bangui to  Gemena or whatever station we lived at.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-report-this\"><a href=\"http:\/\/blogs.covchurch.org\/ekstrand?moderation_action=report_form&object_type=post&object_id=438&width=250&height=300\" class=\"thickbox\" title=\"Report This Post\">Report This Post<\/a><\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Wednesday, April 7, we arrived at the JAARS (SIL) hangar with our luggage ready to move to Congo.\u00a0 We checked the weights and found that we had 423 kgs instead of the allowed 420 kg.\u00a0 The pilot said that extra was not a problem and started to load.
