Ndonges are a small, wood eating termite that ravage wooden structures in our area. \u00a0Congolese repeatedly tell of how the ndonges destroyed this or that. \u00a0For the traditional mud and thatch houses, they will eat out the supporting sticks as they make their way to the grass roof where they feast on the thatch.<\/p>\n

For the repair, we will replace the pieces that have been eaten away so they are weak. \u00a0Then after knocking off all the traces of them, we’ll paint the boards with used oil. \u00a0I also have some old insecticide that I will put on the bottom part of each board.<\/p>\n
