CEUM leaders: Rev. Mbewa, VP Vungbo, Covenant missionary Sheryl Noren, Dr. Lingili, Rev. Kikwiti and Rev. Sabuli<\/p><\/div>\n

It was just two weeks ago that President Mboka made a bold decision to support building the capacity of the leadership of the CEUM. \u00a0President Mboka had selected five leaders to attend the Leadership Matters Course<\/a>\u00a0in Yaounde, Cameroon. \u00a0All five registered and wanted to go, but we only had funding for three of them. \u00a0The president decided that the CEUM would commit to sending the other 2 leaders. \u00a0I worked quickly with a travel agent and our Congolese colleagues in Kinshasa to arrange their visas and travel. \u00a0All 5 arrived fine in Yaounde and started their coursework on January 27.<\/p>\n

Colleague Janet Ziegelbaur in Cameroon has a great blog post, “Leadership Matters” to the Congo Covenant<\/a>, about the course including pictures and comments from the participants. \u00a0Thanks Janet.<\/p>\n

As Janet comments, President Mboka “understands the importance of this training, and made the decision that all 5 participants should come, even though the trip was not yet fully funded. ”<\/p>\n
