Yes, we all scream for ice cream, especially when the motor on the new ice cream freezer we brought out in June burned out the first time we used it. \u00a0Sadness. \u00a0But then I finally asked the local electrician if he thought he could repair the motor. \u00a0“I think I can, I’ll try.” he responded. \u00a0He came back last week with the repaired motor and this time he changed it to run on 220v instead of 110v. \u00a0He had carefully unwound the armature being sure to accurately count the number of times the wire was wrapped around it. \u00a0Then he used smaller wire and rewrapped it with 600 instead of 300 wraps. \u00a0It worked perfectly and we enjoyed the results. \u00a0Comfort food again.<\/p>\n
