It’s really fascinating how many times we end of making connections with people we meet in various places across Africa. \u00a0Here’s one more. \u00a0For the week we’re waiting for a plane to take us home to Gemena we’re staying at the MPH (Methodist-Presbyterian Hostel) in Kinshasa.\u00a0 This facility used to house missionaries kids who were going to school in Kinshasa, but now has become a guest house.<\/p>\n
Friday evening we met Rob Weingartner who is here working with some local churches and ministry partners.\u00a0 He is from Nashville.\u00a0 Over the course of conversation Cindy commented that her niece Morgan just moved to Nashville because her husband got a job playing keyboards with the group Steel Magnolia.\u00a0 Rob responded, \u201cI know the group.\u00a0 My friend is their drummer.\u201d\u00a0 Rob had also seem them play on Jimmy Kimmel.\u00a0 Later I\u2019ve learned that Rob is good friends with the drummers parents.\u00a0 How about that, over a meal at a guest house in Kinshasa we meet someone who is a friend of the drummer in the band our niece\u2019s husband plays in.\u00a0 It\u2019s truly a small world after all.<\/p>\n
