Lord I surrender<br \/>\nJesus help me to love with a love like Yours<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>Whether in the church or not, you have probably heard or read the \u201cLove Chapter\u201d in the Bible, 1 Corinthians 13.\u00a0 It\u2019s a great wedding passage to have read and my husband and I even wrote vows related to it.\u00a0 Super holy, right?\u00a0 The problem I have had over the last few years is I just feel I can\u2019t live up to that.\u00a0 I\u2019ve been challenged to try and I want to try, but Lord have mercy, it is HARD!\u00a0 It\u2019s a lot of pressure, it\u2019s a lot of work, it\u2019s a whole lot of hard and I\u2019ll be honest, most days, I\u2019m not up for it, most days I fail pretty miserably.\u00a0 I have to think that God knows that.\u00a0 He knows we can\u2019t live up to this in the slightest.<\/p>\n<p>But I also know, it\u2019s a cop-out to just not try.\u00a0 It\u2019s good to realize that we can\u2019t do it.\u00a0 It\u2019s good to realize that no matter how many times we read the passage, not matter how many times we try and fail, it shows us our constant need for something bigger than ourselves to invest in us so we can invest in others.\u00a0 We can\u2019t live up to this kind of LOVE.\u00a0 You may think, wow, you are just setting yourself up for failure.\u00a0 I would like to look at it in the way that I am keenly, KEENLY aware of the fact that if I try to LOVE with the kind of love described in this chapter and other passages throughout the Bible, I WILL fail.\u00a0 But when I realize that, it makes me go to the source of LOVE, Jesus Himself.<\/p>\n<p>Do I have a step by step idea of how to love this way? \u00a0I wish I could say yes because I would probably be a millionaire by now.\u00a0 Honestly, I am just trying to daily figure our my own constant need for Jesus to love.\u00a0 But one thing I do know is that this doesn\u2019t just happen.\u00a0 It is work, it is hard, it is messy and it shows us our true selves.\u00a0 But in realizing our frailty and necessity for Jesus every minute, we begin the <strong><em><u>process <\/u><\/em><\/strong>of learning, yes LEARNING how to love like this.\u00a0 This is an everyday decision.\u00a0 It\u2019s a day-in, day-out decision to invest in the pain of loving others.\u00a0 It can be pain.\u00a0 But it can beauty and joy.<\/p>\n<p>This song, Nothing, Something, WOO, it is something!\u00a0 The first time I listened to it, I was just unDONE!\u00a0 I knew the impact and the NEED for LOVE to rule in my life.\u00a0 I warn you, don\u2019t listen to it if you aren\u2019t truly ready for some work in your life, for some realization the constant need to be better.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-medium wp-image-8501\" src=\"http:\/\/blogs.covchurch.org\/delp\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/9\/2021\/09\/Post-it-563x750.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"563\" height=\"750\" srcset=\"http:\/\/blogs.covchurch.org\/delp\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/9\/2021\/09\/Post-it-563x750.jpg 563w, http:\/\/blogs.covchurch.org\/delp\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/9\/2021\/09\/Post-it.jpg 720w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 563px) 100vw, 563px\" \/> The most holy person you know is broken, we all are and we can all do well to realize our brokenness so we can love each other in our brokenness.\u00a0 To love each other in our pain and joy, our mountains and valleys for the simple reason that WE are loved in ours.\u00a0 So listen.\u00a0 Let the words really sink in.\u00a0 Don\u2019t listen to this as we a lot of times read the \u201clove chapter\u201d.\u00a0 Really listen and let these words penetrate the places that need love to be better, to love better.\u00a0 Our weaknesses make us realize our need and our weaknesses can help us love better.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-medium wp-image-8499\" src=\"http:\/\/blogs.covchurch.org\/delp\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/9\/2021\/09\/Post-it-1-563x750.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"563\" height=\"750\" srcset=\"http:\/\/blogs.covchurch.org\/delp\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/9\/2021\/09\/Post-it-1-563x750.jpg 563w, http:\/\/blogs.covchurch.org\/delp\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/9\/2021\/09\/Post-it-1.jpg 720w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 563px) 100vw, 563px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>The bottom line, no matter what I do or say or try or think I am or think I\u2019m not.\u00a0 Without love, it\u2019s nothing, NOTHING.\u00a0 Don\u2019t just gloss over that.\u00a0 NOTHING.\u00a0 But if we have love, maybe the lives we live can be something.\u00a0 That is my prayer, my plea, that even a little that I do will mean something because love is behind it, in it, around it and through it.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\"
