{"id":417,"date":"2010-09-23T01:42:01","date_gmt":"2010-09-23T05:42:01","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/blogs.covchurch.org\/delp\/?p=417"},"modified":"2010-11-26T18:43:08","modified_gmt":"2010-11-26T22:43:08","slug":"trip-to-guayaquil","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/blogs.covchurch.org\/delp\/?p=417","title":{"rendered":"Trip to Guayaquil"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>We had an awesome trip to the coastal city of Guayaquil this last weekend.\u00a0 Guayaquil is the largest city in Ecuador (yes&#8230; a little bit bigger than Quito) and is the country&#8217;s main port.\u00a0 It has a very different feel than Quito as it is much warmer there and has more of the coastal\/beach type atmosphere.<\/p>\n<p>Kim, Simeon and I traveled out there this weekend along with our colleague Josh Swenson, to visit our fellow missionary and only Long-Term Missionary in Ecuador, Cheryll Clark and her husband Moises.\u00a0 This trip was part of our country orientation in that we are supposed to go around and visit the different ministry locations in Ecuador to learn and understand about the ministries.\u00a0 Cheryl and Moises co-pastor a church there in Quayaquil.\u00a0 We had an awesome time visiting and learning all about the coast and the ministies there.\u00a0 Here are some pictures:<\/p>\n<div id=\"attachment_418\" style=\"width: 360px\" class=\"wp-caption alignleft\"><a href=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/9\/2010\/09\/5_Lighthouse.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-418\" class=\"size-full wp-image-418\" title=\"5_Lighthouse\" src=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/9\/2010\/09\/5_Lighthouse.jpg\" alt=\"Here we are at the lighthouse: Cheryll, Josh, Simeon, Joel &amp;
