Yes, you read that correctly. \u00a0We still do not have her Ecuadorian Birth Certificate yet. \u00a0When we went to go get one for her, we were told that we could not get an accurate one unless we brought with us a copy of our marriage license that is apostilled from the U.S. \u00a0An apostille is like an international notary that recognizes that a document is legal for other countries. \u00a0We had one of these previously but do not have a current copy of our marriage license that is apostilled. \u00a0We tried to do everything we could, including going to the U.S. Embassy, but nothing worked. \u00a0In the end, we had to have Kim&#8217;s parents help us in getting a new copy of our marriage license apostilled and sent to Ecuador. \u00a0Today, a team from <a href=\"http:\/\/www.nlcovchurch.org\/\">New London Covenant Church<\/a> in Minnesota is bringing \u00a0a copy of our apostilled marriage license with them. \u00a0We plan to get it from them tomorrow and then work hard this week on getting her birth certificate. \u00a0Please pray that we are successful and have a child with a legal identity!<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-report-this\"><a href=\"http:\/\/blogs.covchurch.org\/delp?moderation_action=report_form&object_type=post&object_id=3037&width=250&height=300\" class=\"thickbox\" title=\"Report This Post\">Report This Post<\/a><\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>We have a couple of really big prayer requests for this week. \u00a0Please pray for Joel&#8217;s parents, Ruth &amp; Earl Delp, as they have had their share of serious struggles of recent. \u00a0Please pray for them and that God&#8217;s peace will abound.
