{"id":1104,"date":"2011-05-24T23:46:36","date_gmt":"2011-05-25T03:46:36","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/blogs.covchurch.org\/delp\/?p=1104"},"modified":"2011-05-24T23:46:36","modified_gmt":"2011-05-25T03:46:36","slug":"update-on-ruthie-and-immediate-prayer-request","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/blogs.covchurch.org\/delp\/?p=1104","title":{"rendered":"Update on Ruthie and Immediate Prayer Request"},"content":{"rendered":"<div id=\"attachment_1045\" style=\"width: 310px\" class=\"wp-caption alignleft\"><a href=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/9\/2011\/05\/Ruthie-and-Simeon.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-1045\" class=\"size-full wp-image-1045\" src=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/9\/2011\/05\/Ruthie-and-Simeon.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"400\" \/><\/a><p id=\"caption-attachment-1045\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Grandma Delp and Simeon<\/p><\/div>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000\">We ask for your prayers again for Ruthie. \u00a0Today they did a Barium swallow test (using dye and an x-ray) and determined that she is not swallowing at all and it may be a very long time until she is able to. \u00a0They have decided to give her a gastric feeding tube that goes directly into her stomach from her side and she can then have the NG feeding tube that is going in her nose removed. \u00a0The surgery is supposed to be sometime tomorrow (Wednesday) and then she hopes to come home possibly as early as Friday.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>She was pretty upset when first learning this news which is easily understood. \u00a0As the day went along, her attitude seemed to pick up a little. \u00a0I&#8217;m sure this won&#8217;t be the last time that she is down about this recent development.<\/p>\n<p>Your prayers for strength, comfort, peace and hope are very much appreciated!<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-report-this\"><a href=\"http:\/\/blogs.covchurch.org\/delp?moderation_action=report_form&object_type=post&object_id=1104&width=250&height=300\" class=\"thickbox\" title=\"Report This Post\">Report This Post<\/a><\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>We ask for your prayers again for Ruthie. \u00a0Today they did a Barium swallow test (using dye and an x-ray) and determined that she is not swallowing at all and it may be a very long time until she is able to. \u00a0They have decided to give her a gastric feeding tube that goes directly &hellip;
