{"id":1012,"date":"2011-04-28T15:13:29","date_gmt":"2011-04-28T19:13:29","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/blogs.covchurch.org\/delp\/?p=1012"},"modified":"2011-04-28T16:44:56","modified_gmt":"2011-04-28T20:44:56","slug":"agua-potable-fresh-water","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/blogs.covchurch.org\/delp\/?p=1012","title":{"rendered":"Agua Potable (Fresh Water)"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><a href=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/9\/2011\/04\/glass-of-water.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright size-full wp-image-1016\" src=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/9\/2011\/04\/glass-of-water.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"225\" height=\"300\" \/><\/a>Sorry, it has been a little while since we have updated.\u00a0 I (Joel) made a trip a couple of weeks ago to the Camp in Santo Domingo for more meetings on the Agua Potable project.\u00a0 Again, just to refresh your brains, this is the project that I am helping with to bring clean water to the Camp as well as a nearby community of 300 folks or so.<\/p>\n<p>Well, with this last trip, things progressed very well.\u00a0 Our first meeting was with Santiago, the project coordinator from FACE, as well as the Vice-President of the area leadership that covers that area.\u00a0 We were discussing the possibility of the\u00a0project and its funding.\u00a0 During the course ofthe discussion, we figured out\u00a0that before we can know exactly how much the project will cost an official &#8220;study&#8221; will have to be carried out.\u00a0 A study is conducted by local officials in order to discern the\u00a0feasibility\u00a0of the project, determine the project costs and every other type question like that using all of the necessary topographical type information and equipment.\u00a0 The one problem with it\u00a0(as with many things in life) is that\u00a0a study costs money.\u00a0 And the small amount of funds that are available for the area (that the Vice-President is in charge of) are for\u00a0carrying out a project like this and not just doing a study.\u00a0 But from that meeting it was deicided that all of us, including the Vice-President, would go to meet with the Mayor&#8217;s assistant the next day to discuss the funding for the study.\u00a0 This we did with a similar type result.\u00a0 The mayor&#8217;s assistant wasn&#8217;t able to give us the necessary funds for\u00a0such a project but that he was willing to go with us including the Vice-President of the area to meet with the people who could the next day.\u00a0 The meeting the next day also went well.\u00a0 From that meeting, it was decided that they would do the study and provide it\u00a0as a service;
