{"id":83,"date":"2011-10-31T21:28:38","date_gmt":"2011-11-01T02:28:38","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/blogs.covchurch.org\/decastro\/?p=83"},"modified":"2011-10-31T21:28:38","modified_gmt":"2011-11-01T02:28:38","slug":"no-cost-donations","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/blogs.covchurch.org\/decastro\/2011\/10\/no-cost-donations\/","title":{"rendered":"No cost donations!"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: center\">Well, if you are in a place where you want to give toward missions but don&#8217;t have money to follow that desire&#8230;HERE ARE SOME GREAT IDEAS to bring in a little money!<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"text-decoration: underline\"><strong>PURSE AUCTION:<\/strong><\/span> This idea was given to me by a wonderful lady who knows her fundraising business! \u00a0If you can find a cool place to host this party, wonderful, if not your living room would be fine. \u00a0Basically send out an open invite to every woman you know. \u00a0Encourage them to bring a nice new or gently used purse to auction. \u00a0Take around 20 nice purses and open bidding. \u00a0The highest bidder wins the purse. \u00a0Remind them to bring cash or a check. \u00a0Compile all the money and send it to 8303 W. Higgins Rd in Chicago with Jen in the Memo line! \u00a0Perfect. \u00a0(This auction can also work with <span style=\"text-decoration: underline\">jewelry<\/span> and <span style=\"text-decoration: underline\">scarves<\/span>)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"text-decoration: underline\"><strong>eBay:<\/strong><\/span> Clean out that closet or look around your house. \u00a0Put it up in eBay to sell. \u00a0If it doesn&#8217;t sell you aren&#8217;t out any money at all! \u00a0When your items do sell you can make a donation via PAY PAL t0<br \/>\n<table cellpadding=\"0\">\n<tbody>\n<tr>\n<td>\n<div>\n<div>\n<div>\n<div>\n<div>\n<div>\n<div>\n<div>\n<div>\n<div>\n<div>\n<div>\n<div><a href=\"http:\/\/covchurch.kintera.org\/give\/jeniferdecastro\" target=\"_blank\">covchurch.kintera.org\/give\/jeniferdecastro<\/a><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n<\/li>\n<li><strong><span style=\"text-decoration: underline\">EAT OUT<\/span><\/strong>: \u00a0TONS of restaurants will donate a certain percentage of every meal if you make arrangements and advertise in advance. \u00a0Just let all your friends and family to go out to eat at the same time to the same place.<\/li>\n<li><span style=\"text-decoration: underline\"><strong>CONSIGNMENT STORES<\/strong><\/span>: \u00a0Ask your local consignment store if you can set up an account for a Non-Profit organization. \u00a0Hand out cards inviting your friends, family, and co-workers to bring things into that specific consignment store to reap the benefits!<\/li>\n<li><span style=\"text-decoration: underline\"><strong>Pampered Chef, Avon, \u00a0etc.<\/strong><\/span>: \u00a0Many of these business people will offer a percentage from a party that you host to Non-Profit organizations. \u00a0Give it a try!<\/li>\n<li><strong><span style=\"text-decoration: underline\">A-THON<\/span><\/strong>: \u00a0Walk, run, bicycle, skate, eat&#8230;you name it&#8230;you can A-THON it!<\/li>\n<li><span style=\"text-decoration: underline\"><strong>ASK YOUR CHURCH<\/strong><\/span>! \u00a0So obvious many forget&#8230;JUST ASK!<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p class=\"wp-report-this\"><a href=\"http:\/\/blogs.covchurch.org\/decastro?moderation_action=report_form&object_type=post&object_id=83&width=250&height=300\" class=\"thickbox\" title=\"Report This Post\">Report This Post<\/a><\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Well, if you are in a place where you want to give toward missions but don&#8217;t have money to follow that desire&#8230;HERE ARE SOME GREAT IDEAS to bring in a little money!
