{"id":253,"date":"2014-06-08T06:57:01","date_gmt":"2014-06-08T11:57:01","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/blogs.covchurch.org\/decastro\/?p=253"},"modified":"2014-06-08T06:57:01","modified_gmt":"2014-06-08T11:57:01","slug":"grace-learned-to-pray-this-week","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/blogs.covchurch.org\/decastro\/2014\/06\/grace-learned-to-pray-this-week\/","title":{"rendered":"Grace learned to pray this week."},"content":{"rendered":"<h3><\/h3>\n<h3>When you are in a car with a 4 year old child for over 30 hours in 10 days, the scriptures can&#8217;t help but be fulfilled!<\/h3>\n<h3>Deuteronomy 11:19<\/h3>\n<p><span style=\"text-decoration: underline\">New King James Version (NKJV)<\/span><\/p>\n<div>\n<p><span style=\"text-decoration: underline\">19\u00a0You shall teach them to your children, speaking of them when you sit in your house, when you walk by the way, when you lie down, and when you rise up.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>My lovely daughter and I took a journey this last week. \u00a0We drove from Tulsa to Chicago. \u00a0Then Chicago to Detroit. \u00a0Then Detroit to Nashville. \u00a0Then Nashville to Mississippi. \u00a0Then Mississippi to Tulsa&#8230;all in 10 days! \u00a0We slept at peoples homes that she had never met, we ate food she had never eaten, we were totally off her schedule. \u00a0We were encouraging and supporting Merge USA in these locations. \u00a0I usually have help with Grace in the form of my family but this trip was solo. \u00a0She did amazing! \u00a0A few times members of the teams would take her&#8230;then pass her along&#8230;then pass her along&#8230;then pass her along&#8230;until nobody knew who had Grace&#8230;but all is well. \u00a0She is fine and asleep in her bed right now.<\/p>\n<p>It was an interesting place for me as well. \u00a0I am used to giving 110% to my kids when I am home and 110% to our teams when I am with them. \u00a0Yea, that didn&#8217;t quiet happen this time. \u00a0Nobody was neglected but the words &#8220;down time and sleep&#8221; weren&#8217;t really relevant during this trip.<\/p>\n<p>Grace had a beautiful perspective on everyone. \u00a0They were all her BEST FRIENDS! \u00a0She would say&#8230;&#8221;where is my pink best friend, or my little best friend, or my best friend who likes to carry me?&#8221; \u00a0EVERYONE was her best friend. \u00a0Very simply&#8230;my youngest child loves relational ministry&#8230;therefore she loves MERGE. \u00a0Sitting on the couch in our living room&#8230;fresh out of the car. \u00a0I asked Grace if she wants to go with the teams again. \u00a0She didn&#8217;t even hesitate with a yes. \u00a0Tired and wiped out&#8230;she is ready to go again. \u00a0I love that.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/94\/2014\/06\/IMG_4605.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-medium wp-image-254\" alt=\"IMG_4605\" src=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/94\/2014\/06\/IMG_4605-225x300.jpg\" width=\"225\" height=\"300\" srcset=\"http:\/\/blogs.covchurch.org\/decastro\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/94\/2014\/06\/IMG_4605-225x300.jpg 225w, http:\/\/blogs.covchurch.org\/decastro\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/94\/2014\/06\/IMG_4605-768x1024.jpg 768w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 225px) 100vw, 225px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>We were about 3 hours from home last night when is started to pour rain. \u00a0Grace said &#8220;Thank you God for the rain to water the flowers and trees-Amen..MOMMY! \u00a0Did I just pray?&#8221; \u00a0<span style=\"text-decoration: underline\">GRACE LEARNED TO PRAY THIS WEEK!<\/span> \u00a0We as Christian parents begin teaching our children to pray at a young age. \u00a0 I personally believe it probably begins with meals. \u00a0Simple prayers that are repetitive. \u00a0<em><strong>Grace has always refused! <\/strong>\u00a0If you know Gracie at all&#8230;you know she isn&#8217;t a follower.<\/em> \u00a0This includes prayer. \u00a0So when we were driving down the road and Grace spontaneously prayed..<em><strong>.IT WAS A BIG DEAL!<\/strong>\u00a0<\/em>\u00a0Once she realized she really, truly prayed she continued to pray spontaneously the rest of the trip. \u00a0&#8220;Thank you God for Daddy. \u00a0Thank you God for my family. \u00a0Thank you God for pink. \u00a0Thank you God for chocolate. etc&#8230;&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center\"><span style=\"text-decoration: underline\"><span style=\"color: #333399;text-decoration: underline\">I LOVE IT THAT EVERY PRAYER GRACE HAS EVERY PRAYED HAS BEEN A PRAYER OF PRAISE!<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center\"><em>I will let that sink in for a minute&#8230;..<\/em><\/p>\n<h3><span style=\"color: #333399\">Deuteronomy 11:19<\/span><\/h3>\n<p><span style=\"color: #333399\">New King James Version (NKJV)<\/span><\/p>\n<div>\n<p><span style=\"color: #333399\">19\u00a0You shall teach them to your children, speaking of them when you sit in your house, when you walk by the way, when you lie down, and when you rise up.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;color: #ff6600\"><span style=\"text-decoration: underline\">\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<p class=\"wp-report-this\"><a href=\"http:\/\/blogs.covchurch.org\/decastro?moderation_action=report_form&object_type=post&object_id=253&width=250&height=300\" class=\"thickbox\" title=\"Report This Post\">Report This Post<\/a><\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>When you are in a car with a 4 year old child for over 30 hours in 10 days, the scriptures can&#8217;t help but be fulfilled!
