{"id":141,"date":"2012-03-02T09:29:48","date_gmt":"2012-03-02T14:29:48","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/blogs.covchurch.org\/decastro\/?p=141"},"modified":"2012-03-02T09:29:48","modified_gmt":"2012-03-02T14:29:48","slug":"a-night-in-the-den-of-the-lion","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/blogs.covchurch.org\/decastro\/2012\/03\/a-night-in-the-den-of-the-lion\/","title":{"rendered":"A Night in the Den of the Lion"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><a href=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/94\/2012\/03\/lion.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright size-full wp-image-142\" src=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/94\/2012\/03\/lion.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"259\" height=\"194\" \/><\/a>Daniel did everything right. \u00a0He followed the correct Christian formula. \u00a0I&#8217;m sure he was taught the childhood song that went &#8220;Read your Bible, pray everyday and you&#8217;ll grow, grow grow.&#8221; \u00a0I imagine their are multiple times in our lives where we get in trouble and haven&#8217;t done anything wrong. \u00a0It is a learning process. \u00a0But those times when you do absolutely EVERYTHING right&#8230;in your relationship with Christ, with your family, with your job, with your friends&#8230;everything is going just how it should. \u00a0You have followed the rules, the formula, the guidelines, and boundaries; what do you do when you find yourself spending the night with Lions. \u00a0I don&#8217;t think Daniel looked forward to his night in the Den. \u00a0I do wonder if moving back a day prior if he would have done it again. \u00a0I say YES! \u00a0Some of the most miserable times in my life and those around me are often followed by the comment of &#8220;I learned so much, I wouldn&#8217;t go back in time and change it&#8221;. \u00a0 Here is my point. \u00a0Salvation is a walk of sanctification. \u00a0We can do everything absolutely perfect and still run into difficulty. \u00a0It is what we take out of those difficulties that bring maturity, wisdom, compassion and often times true forgiveness. \u00a0 \u00a0We don&#8217;t always see the lions den until we have literally fallen into it. \u00a0But keep your chin up, focus on the foundational things you know, Jesus Loves You and don&#8217;t waiver that faith!<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-report-this\"><a href=\"http:\/\/blogs.covchurch.org\/decastro?moderation_action=report_form&object_type=post&object_id=141&width=250&height=300\" class=\"thickbox\" title=\"Report This Post\">Report This Post<\/a><\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Daniel did everything right. \u00a0He followed the correct Christian formula. \u00a0I&#8217;m sure he was taught the childhood song that went &#8220;Read your Bible, pray everyday and you&#8217;ll grow, grow grow.&#8221;
