Tim thoroughly enjoying taking care of Mom<\/p><\/div>\n

I am thankful to be able to be in California, right now, at such a time as this, to be of help to both of our sisters and our brother-in-love.\u00a0 They have been the responsible ones, they have been the family presence in our parents\u2019 lives while we and our brothers and fams have been a long way away in Colorado, Michigan, and Africa.\u00a0 I sure didn\u2019t expect, that while I was in California, taking care of Roy\u2019s mom while Tim and Lynn got away for the first overnight breaks since Tim started full time care of Mom in their home in October 2019, that my stepmom, Ardys, would suddenly fall ill and pass away within about a month\u2019s time?\u00a0 I grieve because I didn\u2019t get to Southern California to be with Ardys in her last hours, although with Covid non-visitation and the speed with which she went into hospice and then passed, not even my sister, just two hours\u2019 drive away, got in to see her.\u00a0 I am thankful to be able to have been of help a little bit as my sister dealt with Ardys\u2019 hospitalization, and I am looking forward to being with her to share some of the responsibility in taking care of the details of closing down Ardys\u2019 apartment etc. \u00a0I am thankful that the Lord made it possible for me to get vaccinated and to be here for my dental implant placement.\u00a0 Perfect timing.<\/p>\n

I am also very thankful for your prayers, phone calls, notes, cards and flowers.\u00a0 I feel deeply loved and very blessed.\u00a0 Thank you for caring, caring enough to let me know it.\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

We are establishing relationships with the local people groups through compassion ministries; Roy through agriculture and Aleta through public health and visitation, in order, ultimately, to share the good news of Jesus the Messiah with them. CAR is one of the least developed countries in the world and is currently in continual crisis (since the coup in March 2013), so reaching out in compassion is key to reaching their hearts.
