Roy loves to be outside, working with his hands, and our farm home provides plenty for him to do, even in winter!\u00a0 Josh often joins him when he’s not at work teaching.\u00a0 It is cool to see the two working together.\u00a0 Warms my heart.<\/p>\n

My heart also is full having an adult companion next door, our daughter-in-love, Kimia.\u00a0 We talk, we shop, we chill together, what a special blessing.\u00a0 Of course, when I look for a photo of us together, there’s no such thing!\u00a0 It’s rare to find a photo of just Kimia, as she is usually behind the camera!\u00a0 Here’s a sweet but blurry one of her and Josh, waiting for Maddie at the airport after 4 months apart.\u00a0 Kimia is a gift to me.\u00a0 A lovely, loving gift.<\/p>\n

We are establishing relationships with the local people groups through compassion ministries; Roy through agriculture and Aleta through public health and visitation, in order, ultimately, to share the good news of Jesus the Messiah with them. CAR is one of the least developed countries in the world and is currently in continual crisis (since the coup in March 2013), so reaching out in compassion is key to reaching their hearts.
