We just picked this envelope up at the post office today.\u00a0 The photo is of the Danforth\/Baker reunion for Dad’s memorial service at Lake Collins last September.\u00a0 He loved that Lake and he loved ice cream, so we celebrated that together.\u00a0 Roy’s sister Lynn mailed us the photo in a fridge magnet frame on Dec. 6th, as a sweet Christmas gift.\u00a0 We’re thankful to have it – this reminds us that we are still in Africa, where packages and letters seem to take forever to arrive, and sometimes never get to their destination.\u00a0 It also reminds us to treasure our memories, to be thankful for our families and to keep each one of our loved ones in our prayers!<\/p>\n

We are establishing relationships with the local people groups through compassion ministries; Roy through agriculture and Aleta through public health and visitation, in order, ultimately, to share the good news of Jesus the Messiah with them. CAR is one of the least developed countries in the world and is currently in continual crisis (since the coup in March 2013), so reaching out in compassion is key to reaching their hearts.
