After a very lovely summer and fall with plenty of rain and sunshine the grasses and weeds were taking over.\u00a0 The 3 guys who live offsite couldn’t come to work during level 5 of our lockdown.\u00a0 Now that we’re in level 4, soon to be level 3, the orchards are looking very nice indeed.\u00a0 We’ve had jackfruit, plantains, peanut butter and jelly fruit, and strawberry tree fruit from the orchards, and beans, cassava, spinach, okra, and taro root plus more from the veggie gardens.\u00a0 These all are from CAR and beyond, and Roy is trying to see what does well here and what people like.\u00a0 Thank you for praying for Back 2 Eden, that it will be a farm for sharing the good news about the Lord’s grace and his loving provision.<\/p>\n

We are establishing relationships with the local people groups through compassion ministries; Roy through agriculture and Aleta through public health and visitation, in order, ultimately, to share the good news of Jesus the Messiah with them. CAR is one of the least developed countries in the world and is currently in continual crisis (since the coup in March 2013), so reaching out in compassion is key to reaching their hearts.
