Rita runs a nursery school for 130+ kids, ages 1-5.\u00a0 Well, she had 130 last year and is waiting to see what this year will bring.\u00a0 She has a hard time saying no to the parents who desperately need to work and need a safe place for their children during the day.\u00a0 We visited yesterday, and school isn’t in session yet but we were excited to see how well the fruit trees and veggies are doing.\u00a0 Rita is holding green peppers and those are dried red beans in the foreground, waiting to be shelled. An inga’s, or ice cream bean tree’s, branches are on the left in the photo.\u00a0 Roy and Zweli planted that tree and others about two years ago.\u00a0 The kids will soon be eating fruit along with the veggies!\u00a0\u00a0

Rita is standing next to a malabar chestnut tree that the visiting British special needs team planted just 2 months ago.\u00a0 It has already doubled in size.\u00a0 We are blessed to be able to bring healthy food and the good news to friends like this!<\/p>\n

We are establishing relationships with the local people groups through compassion ministries; Roy through agriculture and Aleta through public health and visitation, in order, ultimately, to share the good news of Jesus the Messiah with them. CAR is one of the least developed countries in the world and is currently in continual crisis (since the coup in March 2013), so reaching out in compassion is key to reaching their hearts.
