Mike and Mindy, best buddies from\u00a0 college\u00a0 days, are here with us for a week’s visit.\u00a0 We are excited to be able to share what’s going on in our lives here in South Africa, and they get to see first hand what they’ve been praying about and supporting for years.\u00a0 We are loving having them, remembering old times and just enjoying them in the here and now<\/p>\n

One cool thing about having visitors is getting to see sights that we normally don’t go to.\u00a0 We went to the Red Desert yesterday – what a weird phenomenon, a little 27 acre desert in the middle of sub tropical greenery just a couple miles from the Indian Ocean!<\/p>\n

We are establishing relationships with the local people groups through compassion ministries; Roy through agriculture and Aleta through public health and visitation, in order, ultimately, to share the good news of Jesus the Messiah with them. CAR is one of the least developed countries in the world and is currently in continual crisis (since the coup in March 2013), so reaching out in compassion is key to reaching their hearts.
