We at long last made a visit to our Fulani Jesus following friends in the north.\u00a0\u00a0 Since we last visited them over 3 years ago, they have lost many villagers to death.\u00a0 Some were a result of disease and age and accidents, the normal reasons, but 6 of them were murdered (about 3 years ago), basically because of the local town\u2019s Fulani leader\u2019s stance against the then rampant bandits & kidnappers, and possibly partially because of their beliefs.\u00a0 Most of the villagers moved across the border into Cameroon, establishing a village a two days\u2019 journey from our home.\u00a0 We went this past week, and oh my goodness what a lovely time we had.\u00a0 We were welcomed with incredible warmth and they were awesome hosts, taking care of all of our needs.\u00a0 We were able to pray and sing and worship together, and to hear some stories of their journeys in faith amidst persecution.\u00a0 The village is still a mix of believers & seekers, and we are praying that God would crush the wall that divides the two groups, so that the seekers would be finders!\u00a0 \u00a0Our dear friends, Paul & Sheryl, were there, learning the language, along with another missionary, so that was an added bonus to our visit!<\/p>\n
