It has been a privilege to go to Genesis\u2019 orphanage and help the caretakers know some child care, first aid and what to do in an emergency.\u00a0 They actually surprised me with what they already know, regarding safety and just basic child care.\u00a0 They take care of a maximum of 12 little ones at a time, aged from birth to 4 years. The day I taught they were filling out the paperwork to take in a 2-day old that had been abandoned. \u00a0They have just found an administrator, so timely, as Candice, the substitute administrator, is heading to Cape Town at the end of the month to start her new ministry position there.\u00a0 Please pray for these little ones and the ones taking care of them.\u00a0 Please pray for families for these kids, for a good turnover rate for these homeless babies to be welcomed into families that will love and nurture them.\u00a0 Check out the ElRoi Baby Home link<\/a><\/p>\n

We are establishing relationships with the local people groups through compassion ministries; Roy through agriculture and Aleta through public health and visitation, in order, ultimately, to share the good news of Jesus the Messiah with them. CAR is one of the least developed countries in the world and is currently in continual crisis (since the coup in March 2013), so reaching out in compassion is key to reaching their hearts.
