We’re moved in to our retirement home that Sam built for us!\u00a0 Wait!\u00a0 No, we’re not retired yet, nor will we be living there full time once we do retire; we’ll be doing a 50\/50 split between our stateside kids and our S. Africa kids.\u00a0 For now, when we are in South Africa doing ministry, we have our own place to live.\u00a0 Sam & fam live in the house just behind ours in the photo, up the hill a bit.\u00a0 You can see on the right coffee and fruit trees in rows, a part of the huge orchard Roy established, being protected from wind and animals by sacks.\u00a0 It is so nice to have moved in after watching the house go up, sometimes while present, sometimes by photos Anna & Sam have sent.\u00a0 \u00a0Thank you Sam, for building this for us, thank you Anna and kids for helping AND putting up with your dad and hubby being busy busy busy on alot of Saturdays!\u00a0 Thank you, Lynn & Gary, for letting us build on your farm and for being the best buddies in ministry and life that we could hope for! Thank you, Samfam, for being the best hosts for us in the meantime.\u00a0 Our family brings joy to our hearts!\u00a0 We give thanks to God for this place of peace and ministry for this time in our lives.

We are establishing relationships with the local people groups through compassion ministries; Roy through agriculture and Aleta through public health and visitation, in order, ultimately, to share the good news of Jesus the Messiah with them. CAR is one of the least developed countries in the world and is currently in continual crisis (since the coup in March 2013), so reaching out in compassion is key to reaching their hearts.
