\nNothing better to while away the long hours and days and weeks while you’re under the first two months’ treatment for TB than to sit under a tree and read God’s word. This Fulani man is reading I and II Samuel in Ajamiya, which is his mother tongue, Fulfulde, in Arabic script. We find that many men (few women are literate) eagerly receive different books of the bible, some old testament and some new testament, and read them, sometimes together.
