Wow, what a sweet time we had visiting friends in Lesotho!\u00a0 It was well worth the hassles of crossing the border, checking in and out of South Africa and Lesotho…\u00a0 We found ourselves in line with some very interesting characters.\u00a0 \u00a0Sam was able to connect with Joe, his buddy and talented airplane mechanic from his days working there in Maseru.\u00a0 Joe still works at the MAF hangar, and we were able to enjoy supper with him and his whole family.\u00a0\u00a0\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

We had a great time with Matt and Carolyn Munson and their whole family, reminiscing about old times and catching up on what’s going on now in their lives and ministries.\u00a0 We met the newest member of the family and even got to see Matt’s dad, Steve, who happened to be visiting.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

Anna’s long time friend, Puseletso (I’m not sure I’ve spelled that correctly), a dear woman who she helped establish a sewing enterprise, was also home for a visit.\u00a0 Her son, Kabelo, is one of the soccer boys that Sam & Anna were involved with while they lived in Lesotho.\u00a0 Kabelo occasionally comes by bus to stay with Sam & Anna, a delight for all.

We are establishing relationships with the local people groups through compassion ministries; Roy through agriculture and Aleta through public health and visitation, in order, ultimately, to share the good news of Jesus the Messiah with them. CAR is one of the least developed countries in the world and is currently in continual crisis (since the coup in March 2013), so reaching out in compassion is key to reaching their hearts.
