\"\"<\/a>We had a nice visit with two UN officers the other day.\u00a0 They came from the main town to the east, where they are stationed, to patrol our area; sort of a fact-finding mission.\u00a0 They had a pick-up full of armed Congolese troops along with them, destined this week to return to Congo.\u00a0 The officers did not know what country their next troops would come from.\u00a0 They were quite pleasant and wanted to know how we were doing and what we had heard from towns north of us.\u00a0 They got out their phones and took pictures, which they shared with me.\u00a0 It is very good to know that they are there, trying to make sure things continue to be safe and peaceful in our region.<\/p>\n

We are establishing relationships with the local people groups through compassion ministries; Roy through agriculture and Aleta through public health and visitation, in order, ultimately, to share the good news of Jesus the Messiah with them. CAR is one of the least developed countries in the world and is currently in continual crisis (since the coup in March 2013), so reaching out in compassion is key to reaching their hearts.
