At Aladji BP’s home, this was just after having left a voice message for his cardiac specialist brother who lives in Germany! Go figure!<\/p><\/div>\n

In spite of the wakes for family members just a couple of days before, we joined our friends in their celebration, and I would imagine great relief until next year, of ending their month-long fast. \u00a0We were fed and treated royally, and each of our friends (4 different homes that day) kept insisting we eat more. \u00a0We were ready to burst by late afternoon, but pleased to have been able to spend time with so many. \u00a0We blew it with one friend, though, there was a miscommunication by telephone, so he “waited and waited and waited” for us. Please pray that this guy will understand and forgive (he probably already has) and that dreams will be dreamed about the Messiah calling!<\/p>\n

Our yard caretaker, Antonio, the dad on the far right, invited us for a meal. \u00a0We had a lovely time and we able to meet his brother-in-law, a Fulani man who has suffered terribly from the 2013-til now CAR conflict. \u00a0He lost both parents and siblings due to the war, leaving him as the only survivor in his family. \u00a0We were blessed to hear how a local pastor helped him lay low. \u00a0We still continue to hope that CAR will turn itself around so that all might live in peace again.

We are establishing relationships with the local people groups through compassion ministries; Roy through agriculture and Aleta through public health and visitation, in order, ultimately, to share the good news of Jesus the Messiah with them. CAR is one of the least developed countries in the world and is currently in continual crisis (since the coup in March 2013), so reaching out in compassion is key to reaching their hearts.
