For the past month there have been major skirmishes in the east of the country,\u00a0click here for news article<\/a>\u00a0and here’s another one<\/a>. \u00a0Though we definitely do not agree with the media’s general assumption that the militia\/anti balaka are Christian (they are merely non-Muslim), the overall picture described seems accurate and heartbreaking. \u00a0We just heard from friends at Gamboula’s mission hospital that there was an incident there that resulted from long underlying misunderstanding and hatred. \u00a0We ask “when, dear Lord, when will it end?” \u00a0Please keep praying, trusting that he holds our future and that he dearly loves each one in this conflict.<\/p>\n

We are establishing relationships with the local people groups through compassion ministries; Roy through agriculture and Aleta through public health and visitation, in order, ultimately, to share the good news of Jesus the Messiah with them. CAR is one of the least developed countries in the world and is currently in continual crisis (since the coup in March 2013), so reaching out in compassion is key to reaching their hearts.
