Roy and Sam were on their way home when they saw this amazing bird, a Knyssa Turaco, sitting helplessly by side of the highway. \u00a0They stopped and picked him up, trying to figure out what was wrong with him. \u00a0They put him in a box (for his protection from all the dogs and cats on the farm) and gave him a quiet afternoon. \u00a0When Sam tried to release him that evening, he just flapped forward, but couldn’t fly off. \u00a0Another day passed and the bird couldn’t take off. \u00a0We asked around and got the phone number of a woman who had experience with helping injured birds to fly again, and when Roy was trying to get the bird out of the rabbit hutch into a box for transport, he scrabbled up and out and flew away! \u00a0Hurray!! \u00a0Guess he just needed a spot of vacation, time away from the hustle and bustle of his hectic life! LOL!! \u00a0\"blog<\/a><\/p>\n
