The nursing school on the Gamboula mission has its official opening this week. \u00a0There has been lots of preparation, from course prep to light fixture replacement, but here are just photos to give you an idea. \u00a0The students are in a retreat for two days, learning about putting on the armor of God, and there will be an opening ceremony on Saturday morning, complete with government dignitaries in attendance. \u00a0Please pray for the students and the teachers, that the school would be a place where God’s presence is very evident, that the students would learn not just to treat patients’ physical illnesses, but that they would learn to love and care for them with tenderness as well. \u00a0May the Lord be glorified!<\/p>\n

We are establishing relationships with the local people groups through compassion ministries; Roy through agriculture and Aleta through public health and visitation, in order, ultimately, to share the good news of Jesus the Messiah with them. CAR is one of the least developed countries in the world and is currently in continual crisis (since the coup in March 2013), so reaching out in compassion is key to reaching their hearts.
