Dave, Eric, Mark, Roy, and Denise arrived safely in 2 taxis Monday afternoon.\u00a0 They are all good sports, taking bumpy, dusty roads with a bit of hassling from officials along the way in stride as well as being willing to try new foods and go wherever we lead them.\u00a0 Poor Mark came with a bug that made him miserable his first two days and nights, on the plane and then here, but thankfully he\u2019s back up to speed now.\u00a0 We\u2019ve been having some great discussions about development and ownership and how CEFA is doing.\u00a0 That is why Dave, Eric, and Mark are here with us for 5 days.\u00a0 Roy & Denise will be with us for 2 weeks, to seek God\u2019s will, to see if this a place they can come to as a missionary couple; Roy is an agriculturalist and Denise is a large animal vet.\u00a0 It will be wonderful in so many ways if they do come to live here.\u00a0 We laughed when we first met Roy T last year (we have known Denise for a long time and they are recently married) because he shares so much in common with my Roy, NOT just his name.\u00a0 He has a dream to share Jesus through compassion ministry in ag development at an experimental farm in Africa AND he loves sports, both playing and keeping up with professional and college sports.\u00a0 So not only are we having ministry discussions, we\u2019re hearing all about how the Cubs are doing.\u00a0 The other 3 guys are pretty into stats and scores etc. so Denise and I are mostly just listeners in those discussions, unless we\u2019re talking about the hot dogs or the chance to be with family and friends as we watch a game.\u00a0 They are getting tours of everything we are able to show them, but we are limited by terrible roads, broken ferries, and then, of course, it IS rainy season!\"blog<\/a><\/p>\n

CAR is one of the least developed countries in the world and is currently in continual crisis (since the coup in March 2013), so reaching out in compassion is key to reaching their hearts.
