So, in our family, Roy’s usually the one who milks a birthday for all it’s worth. \u00a0This year I guess it’s my turn. \u00a0Seems like I’ve been celebrating for 3 weeks, starting in Calif. and even now I’m still getting messages on Facebook and cards in the mail. \u00a0I’m so grateful for family and friends who care!\"blog<\/a><\/p>\n

Kimia came up with an awesome idea, she had the girls think of 61 things about me. \u00a0She wrote them on 61 beautiful pieces of paper, the girls drew pictures on the back of each one and then hid them all over the house. \u00a0I just found the last one today. \u00a0My two favorites are “thank you for showing us your wrinkles” and “thank you for being one of our favorite grandmas”. \u00a0LOL!\"blog<\/a><\/p>\n

We are establishing relationships with the local people groups through compassion ministries; Roy through agriculture and Aleta through public health and visitation, in order, ultimately, to share the good news of Jesus the Messiah with them. CAR is one of the least developed countries in the world and is currently in continual crisis (since the coup in March 2013), so reaching out in compassion is key to reaching their hearts.
