It is a bit overwhelming to have so many people come up to you to tell you they&#8217;ve been praying, to let you know that they care!<\/p>\n<p>We stayed with Ray &amp; Cheryl More, and Thunder &#8211; don&#8217;t forget Thunder! \u00a0Sweet people, sweet dog. \u00a0They were so gracious, aside from the usual comfy bed and yummy meals, they watched sports and went nursery hopping with Roy! \u00a0Now that&#8217;s servant heart hosting, right? \u00a0It was great to get to know them, to hear a bit about their journey. \u00a0We are thankful for friends!<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/blogs.covchurch.org\/danforth\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/7\/2015\/09\/blog-RayCheryl-Tulsa.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-3420\" src=\"http:\/\/blogs.covchurch.org\/danforth\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/7\/2015\/09\/blog-RayCheryl-Tulsa.jpg\" alt=\"blog RayCheryl Tulsa\" width=\"448\" height=\"298\" srcset=\"http:\/\/blogs.covchurch.org\/danforth\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/7\/2015\/09\/blog-RayCheryl-Tulsa.jpg 448w, http:\/\/blogs.covchurch.org\/danforth\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/7\/2015\/09\/blog-RayCheryl-Tulsa-300x200.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 448px) 100vw, 448px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Roy was delighted to be able to meet with Tom L, who is Roy&#8217;s inspiration for bridge building. \u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/blogs.covchurch.org\/danforth\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/7\/2015\/09\/blog-RayCheryl-Tulsa.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-3422\" src=\"http:\/\/blogs.covchurch.org\/danforth\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/7\/2015\/09\/blog-Tom-Roy-9.15.jpg\" alt=\"blog Tom &amp; Roy 9.15\" width=\"448\" height=\"299\" srcset=\"http:\/\/blogs.covchurch.org\/danforth\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/7\/2015\/09\/blog-Tom-Roy-9.15.jpg 448w, http:\/\/blogs.covchurch.org\/danforth\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/7\/2015\/09\/blog-Tom-Roy-9.15-300x200.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 448px) 100vw, 448px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Tom introduced us to the idea of gabions &#8211; big wire baskets, filled with rocks, to serve as foundations for bridges. We live on an experimental\\\/training farm, near a mission station which has a hospital plus bible and nursing schools. We are establishing relationships with the local people groups through compassion ministries; Roy through agriculture and Aleta through public health and visitation, in order, ultimately, to share the good news of Jesus the Messiah with them. CAR is one of the least developed countries in the world and is currently in continual crisis (since the coup in March 2013), so reaching out in compassion is key to reaching their hearts. We live on an experimental\/training farm, near a mission station which has a hospital plus bible and nursing schools. We are establishing relationships with the local people groups through compassion ministries; Roy through agriculture and Aleta through public health and visitation, in order, ultimately, to share the good news of Jesus the Messiah with them. CAR is one of the least developed countries in the world and is currently in continual crisis (since the coup in March 2013), so reaching out in compassion is key to reaching their hearts.
