We went to the Covenant Annual Meeting last week – it was an awesome celebration of what’s going on in the Covenant all over the world. \u00a0We were delegates so we were involved in the business meetings, hearing about budgets and voting in officers and committee members. \u00a0We celebrated 3 amazing retirees: Debbie Blue, Evelyn Johnson, and Curt Peterson. \u00a0We witnessed the commissioning of new missionaries and the ordination of pastors. \u00a0BUT my favorite part of the meetings was hanging out with dear friends, like Tim & Helen Smith (photo courtesy of Peter Kim)\"time<\/a><\/p>\n

and Florence Gustafson (though she was super busy with VIPs from the Congolese church).

We live on an experimental\\\/training farm, near a mission station which has a hospital plus bible and nursing schools. We are establishing relationships with the local people groups through compassion ministries; Roy through agriculture and Aleta through public health and visitation, in order, ultimately, to share the good news of Jesus the Messiah with them. CAR is one of the least developed countries in the world and is currently in continual crisis (since the coup in March 2013), so reaching out in compassion is key to reaching their hearts.
