Since we’re driving from California to Indiana rather than flying, we chose a few, well maybe more than a few, like, 12 or so?!, paintings by Mom to take with us to decorate our rental home for the year. \u00a0She said she was thrilled to have us take them, all but one having been stored for years and years, Dad said 30 years! \u00a0But that wasn’t enough, she wanted us to have one of a flower, so she pulled one off the wall, it’s a beaut! \u00a0She and I chose a seascape to take its place over the guest bed. \u00a0What a blessing to have a Mom with such talent and so generous and willing to have us abscond with her stock!<\/p>\n

Dad and Roy bundled and padded them and seat belted them into our car for a safe trip. \u00a0Our new, well new to us, car is probably the smoothest ride we’ve ever owned. \u00a0So those paintings will feel like they’re in first class – we sure do, nothing compared to recent trips over bumpy roads in Africa, where we cover about 60 miles in 4 hours!\"blog<\/a> \"???????????????????????????????\"<\/a><\/p>\n

We are establishing relationships with the local people groups through compassion ministries; Roy through agriculture and Aleta through public health and visitation, in order, ultimately, to share the good news of Jesus the Messiah with them. CAR is one of the least developed countries in the world and is currently in continual crisis (since the coup in March 2013), so reaching out in compassion is key to reaching their hearts.
