{"id":3225,"date":"2015-05-16T16:51:42","date_gmt":"2015-05-16T15:51:42","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/blogs.covchurch.org\/danforth\/?p=3225"},"modified":"2015-05-16T16:51:42","modified_gmt":"2015-05-16T15:51:42","slug":"an-important-stop-along-the-road-to-yaounde","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/blogs.covchurch.org\/danforth\/2015\/05\/16\/an-important-stop-along-the-road-to-yaounde\/","title":{"rendered":"An important stop along the road to Yaounde"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>We were on our way to the capital, and had expected to visit friends in a little town near one of the big refugee camps. \u00a0These friends had fled CAR last year, and have kept together through many hardships. \u00a0These are the members of the ag co-ops that were started up years ago with the direction and help of Bernard B, an energetic farmer, tailor, elder in the church and just a plain old in your face I want to help you kind of guy. \u00a0He has encouraged his village to work together, Fulani and non-Fulani, which was extremely rare a few years back and is practically unheard of in these conflicted times in CAR. \u00a0The ladies&#8217; co-op had prepared food for us, each donating a coin, veritably like &#8220;the widow&#8217;s mite&#8221; to receive us well. \u00a0They had waited all day, due to an miscommunication, and we arrived even later than we expected because of lots of unforeseen circumstances. \u00a0We did get a chance to visit, Sheryl and I with the women:<a href=\"http:\/\/blogs.covchurch.org\/danforth\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/7\/2015\/05\/blog-BBs-coops3.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-3167\" src=\"http:\/\/blogs.covchurch.org\/danforth\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/7\/2015\/05\/blog-BBs-coops3.jpg\" alt=\"blog BB's coops3\" width=\"448\" height=\"299\" srcset=\"http:\/\/blogs.covchurch.org\/danforth\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/7\/2015\/05\/blog-BBs-coops3.jpg 448w, http:\/\/blogs.covchurch.org\/danforth\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/7\/2015\/05\/blog-BBs-coops3-300x200.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 448px) 100vw, 448px\" \/><\/a>and Roy, Tom, and Paul with the men. \u00a0Roy brought along tools and \u00a0seed;
