Right before we left Gamboula, the Scania truck (complete with crane which you can’t see in this photo) and 2 shipping containers (one specially cut to exactly take up all the space available on the truck’s bed when it was shipped) arrived. \u00a0There was a 3 month red tape journey for 3 of the hospital’s people to go and pick up the vehicle and its load. \u00a0At one point the customs and port officials unloaded both containers in order to verify that there were no arms shipments!!!?! being delivered to the local militia for the ongoing conflict in CAR. \u00a0You can see that the boxes are rather willy nilly, nothing like packed neatly to the ceiling in apple pie order as usual from Sweden. \u00a0The hospital is especially thankful for all the equipment and supplies and the national church is thankful for the truck!\"blog<\/a><\/p>\n

CAR is one of the least developed countries in the world and is currently in continual crisis (since the coup in March 2013), so reaching out in compassion is key to reaching their hearts.
