We had our first rain since November, and boy it was a gully gusher complete with hailstones.\u00a0 We were rushing back to the farm to close our windows, but had to pull over under a tree to try to protect our windshield from the hailstones.\u00a0 The last time we had such a storm was when our batteries and water pump system got struck by lightning and Timothy received a jolt through the wet grass that threw him down for a few seconds.\u00a0 We are thankful to report that this storm passed without harming anyone or anything at the farm and all we got was a bit of rain in the windows and under the doors, nothing major.\u00a0 There were crews hand watering the orchards and even some bigger trees were struggling with the dry season, so this rain was very welcome.<\/p>\n

We are establishing relationships with the local people groups through compassion ministries; Roy through agriculture and Aleta through public health and visitation, in order, ultimately, to share the good news of Jesus the Messiah with them. CAR is one of the least developed countries in the world and is currently in continual crisis (since the coup in March 2013), so reaching out in compassion is key to reaching their hearts.
