Our grands, Elaina and Sawyer, are both going to have birthdays soon after our planned departure date from South Africa, Dec. 19th. \u00a0We decided not to miss out on all the fun, so we had a party on Saturday with Swedish pancakes for breakfast and a treasure hunt for fun. \u00a0The kids had to solve riddles and go through a few clues before they arrived at the jackpot. \u00a0You should see them zip around on these bikes! \u00a0Of course the photo below doesn’t do justice to their zipping, but trust me, they zip!\"blog<\/a> \"blog<\/a> \"blog<\/a>\"blog<\/a>\"blog<\/a>\"blog<\/a><\/p>\n

We are establishing relationships with the local people groups through compassion ministries; Roy through agriculture and Aleta through public health and visitation, in order, ultimately, to share the good news of Jesus the Messiah with them. CAR is one of the least developed countries in the world and is currently in continual crisis (since the coup in March 2013), so reaching out in compassion is key to reaching their hearts.
