Two Sundays in a row we’ve had special ceremonies at church – last Sunday was the “Sister’s Union” and this week it was “Women of the Good News or who speak the truth or …” (Sango is a language of few words with lots of meanings!) The women (of the Good News) in the bright blue with yellow sashes are actually all students in the women’s school, most of them wives of bible school and nursing school students. The women’s school teaches home management, reading and writing, child care and general health, sewing, bible, etc. This group of women meets every Thursday for prayer and bible study and bible verse memorization. The Sister’s Union, basically “Women’s group” in the black and white, has a choir that sings every Sunday at the French speaking service at our local church.
