{"id":2389,"date":"2014-02-16T18:18:13","date_gmt":"2014-02-16T17:18:13","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/blogs.covchurch.org\/danforth\/?p=2389"},"modified":"2014-02-16T18:18:13","modified_gmt":"2014-02-16T17:18:13","slug":"life-and-death-go-on","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/blogs.covchurch.org\/danforth\/2014\/02\/16\/life-and-death-go-on\/","title":{"rendered":"Life and death go on"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>A dear and respected mama of our community passed away on Friday. \u00a0I first met her in &#8217;98, when we arrived to Gamboula as newbies in CAR. \u00a0She was just retiring from working at the nutrition center at our mission hospital, but I had a chance to get to know her a little. \u00a0She was a joyful little lady who was always ready with a little dance step and a prayer if you needed encouragement. \u00a0 Recently she had been troubled with many ailments probably related to her age (75 or so). \u00a0She had just had cataract surgery but hadn&#8217;t had much of a chance yet to enjoy her new sight &#8211;
