He was a giggly chubby little guy last time I saw him, but his mum and he had left for a village some distance away. He’s back, with an illness that is giving him spazzy weak legs, aside from the ever present malaria. His grandma, Hurrera, is a dear friend of mine, and I just found out that she lost a son in a car accident just a month ago. When we left, she was grieving the loss of two other family members. Lord have mercy!

CAR is one of the least developed countries in the world and is currently in continual crisis (since the coup in March 2013), so reaching out in compassion is key to reaching their hearts.
